{"id":4160,"date":"2024-11-26T16:48:59","date_gmt":"2024-11-26T16:48:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobscorner.co.za\/wp\/?p=4160"},"modified":"2024-11-26T16:49:03","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T16:49:03","slug":"rhodes-university-vacancies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jobscorner.co.za\/wp\/2024\/11\/26\/rhodes-university-vacancies\/","title":{"rendered":"Rhodes University Vacancies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Position: Student Services Administrator<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location: Makhanda, Eastern Cape<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Closing Date\u00a0:10 December 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>The Requirements<\/strong><\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Grade 12 plus approximately 2 years\u2019 relevant experience where such experience includes: &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At least 2 years\u2019 administrative experience within an electronic environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A demonstrable ability to efficiently diagnose hardware and software problems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Well rounded expertise and practical knowledge of operating systems, networking and office software, in particular Desktop software and tools in a Windows and Google Workspace environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least one year demonstrating accurate record keeping of assets, or equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Main Objectives<\/strong><\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Provides support for computer laboratories for academic teaching and learning.\u00a0 There are in excess of 15 labs (600 computers) used for academic and student use (essays, email, research etc).\u00a0 To ensure that the public and departmental laboratories supported by the Information and Technology Services Division (I&amp;TS) are fully functional at all times so that down time is kept to a minimum.\u00a0 Ensures that all maintenance and user requirements are met &#8211; i.e. Academic teaching, conferences, general student use etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Position: Senior Lab Assistant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location: Makhanda, Eastern Cape<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Closing Date:\u00a028 November 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>The Requirements<\/strong><\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Grade 12 or equivalent with a Science subject plus 6 months\u2019 relevant experience where such experience includes: &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previous experience working in a science-based laboratory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous technical experience and\/or a proven technical ability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Code B driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Main Objectives<\/strong><\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>To assist the Principal Technical Officer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, in ensuring clean, safe and appropriately resourced laboratories are maintained as well as for other areas of the Faculty of Pharmacy, when required.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Position: Registered Nurse<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location: Makhanda, Eastern Cape<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Closing Date\u00a0:29 November 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Requirements<\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Grade 12 plus must be a Registered Nurse with at least at NQF level 6 qualification with approximately 4 years\u2019 relevant experience.<br><br>Required working experience includes: &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previous experience working as a nurse where the focus was on patient diagnosis, patient treatment, referral and drug control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must have experience in dealing with acute medical emergencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possess a current dispensing license or acquire one within the first 12 months of assuming duty. The Institution will bear the cost thereof.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A certificate in Family Planning would be a considerable advantage.
