Position: Vodacom Discover Graduate Programme

Programme Requirements:
  • South African Citizen by Birth
  • Must have 0-1 year working experience post studies.
  • Must be 26 years old or younger.
  • Must have obtained a minimum of 65% aggregate for completed or most recent academic results.
  • Must have a minimum of a B-degree (B-Com, BSc & B-Tech) qualification (NQF 7).
  • A 3 year National Diploma (NQF 6) will be considered in the following areas only:
  • Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • Computer Software Engineering and
  • Information Systems/Information Technology

This programme is our pipeline into Vodacom Discover Graduate Programme or transition into permanent roles as opportunities arise. The applicants need to have completed at least their undergraduate degree or degree equivalent by the end of 2024. Start dates are 1 February and 1 March 2025.

The objective of the Vodacom Internship Programme is to:

  • Develop a talent pipeline of skilled individuals for the core business areas within Vodacom; and to
  • Create opportunities for unemployed graduates with the required qualifications to develop competencies in the digital techco environment.

Position: Marketing Specialist

Location: Nelspruit / Mbombela

Closing date: 20 August 2024

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Matric / Grade 12, and
  • 3-year commercial/marketing/sales diploma or degree (NQF 6 or higher) or SAQA accredited equivalent with 
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience (essential)
  • Valid Driver’s license (essential)
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
  • At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in brand management, retail marketing and sales
  • Functional Marketing experience across ATL, BTL, experiential marketing, media, PR, etc
  • Analytics to measure effectiveness of marketing. 
  • Critical Thinking and problem-solving decision making.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning, execution and evaluation of regional segment marketing plans and implementation into the channels
  • Drive brand objectives with external service agents, media, and other key role players.
  • Report on monthly advertising, sales, and promotion budgets, track to ensure positive ROI.
  • Conduct post campaign evaluations on all promotional and marketing activations to determine implementation effectiveness and return.
  • Monitor the use of the Vodacom brand at events, sponsorships, and promotions for consistent application and visibility, ensuring compliance according to CI, standards, policies, and procedures

Position: Business Manager

Location: Vodacom Midrand Campus

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
  • Matric / Grade 12 essential 
  • Minimum of 3-year relevant Degree/ National Diploma or is essential
  • Business related courses completed is essential. 
  • A business-related MBA is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience:
  • Managing functional responsibilities at a senior manager level within a corporate environment 
  • Telecommunications/Enterprise  Project management
  • Managing / building relationships at Executive level
  • Providing financial analysis at Executive Management level
  • Minimum of 2yrs Leadership/Management experience (an advantage)
  • Candidate will be required to be available to the Director outside of regulated working hours
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Understand the BI tools available and being able to obtain relevant information from the various source systems.
  • Conduct and analyse financial performance and indicators per segment against main competitors and industry standards.
  • Monitor progress against assigned strategic initiatives and deliverables.
  • Report on deviations that could derail the achievements against targets.
  • Research and formulation of presentations

Position: Chatbot Specialist

Location: Century City

Experience:

  • Understanding of call centre processes and technologies
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) Programming
  • Customer centric
  • Analytical thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Familiar with Chatbot technologies and architecture
  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications and ability to train Bot on utterances, intents and entities.
  • Translate designs and documentation into journeys on the bot development tool
  • Familiarise yourself with Telecoms processes and technologies in a cross-functional matrix organisation 
  • Basic Software development
