Key Responsibility Areas:

Key Responsibility Areas:
Performs road making tasks associated with road rehabilitation and asphalt paving.
Supervises the complete paving and milling operations, large scale road works which includes construction of new roads, reconstruction and repairs to existing roads, trench reinstatements and access hardening.
Plans the required activities in the Branch and the utilization of necessary plant and material.

Provides quality control on site.
Inspects contracts.
Ensures site safety in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Assists with the compilation of payment certificates.
Assists in resolving disputes at site meetings.
Provides training, mentoring and transfer of practical knowledge and skills to emerging contractors
Position: Civil Engineering Technologist

Essential Requirements:
Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering (NQF Level 7) in Civil Engineering.
Registration as a Candidate Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa
(ECSA) within 3 months of employment.
Valid motor vehicle driving license
2 years relevant post qualification experience.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Communicates and establishes critical requirements associated with the design and outlining requirements to technical personnel on the execution of tasks.
Controls the outcomes associated with the assembly/preparation of base information and plans for the design form and developing concept plans.
Co-ordinates the preparation of the Engineering Design proposal for basic complexity forms of interacting dimensions.
Analyses and interprets the clients brief and interrogates legislation, regulations and other related factors requiring consideration during the design sequence.
