Position: Practitioners – Supply Chain Management (X3)

Requirements:
- National Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- Entry-level certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) can be beneficial.

- 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management working in or within a public sector organisation.
- Basic understanding of supply chain management processes.
- Ability to analyse data and generate reports to support supply chain management decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the implementation of supply chain management processes.
- Maintaining accurate records, performing data entry, and analysing supply chain data to support decision-making.
- Communicating with suppliers to obtain quotes, track purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and policies and maintaining proper documentation for all supply chain management activities.
- Generating and distributing reports on supply chain management activities.
- Providing administrative support to the supply chain management team, including scheduling meetings, and preparing documents. And coordinating with other documents.
Position: Biodiversity Data Technicians
Location: Table Mountain National Park
Closing date: 08 November 2024
Requirements:
- An MSc in Biological Sciences, Conservation Biology or similar.
- At least six months of experience cleaning and formatting large biodiversity datasets.
- Excellent data management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work productively full-time for three months curating, cleaning, formatting and uploading biodiversity occurrence data.
Responsibilities
- Curating, cleaning and formatting of biodiversity occurrence data.
- Uploading biodiversity occurrence data to the SANParks BIMS.
Position: Cultural Heritage Intern
Location: Table Mountain National Park
Closing date: 22 November 2024
Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social science.
- A minimum of one-year relevant experience in the relevant field of expertise, plus good working knowledge of research values
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Understanding of cultural heritage management in the context of climate change mitigation and adaptation in protected areas or the Cape Floristic Region biodiversity sector would be an advantage.
- Good writing skills and the ability to prepare various reports.
- Good social, and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid Code 8 driver’s license (with at least 1 year of driving experience)
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to ongoing research projects aimed at understanding cultural heritage management in the context of National Parks
- Collecting, capturing, and storing field data relating to research and monitoring projects
- Data management
- Data analysis and interpretation
- Independent and collaborative work
- Presenting research findings
- Representing SANParks at science management engagements
Position: Ecology Interns ( X2)
Location: Table Mountain National Park

Requirements:
- An MSc degree in Natural Sciences
- A minimum of one-year relevant experience in the relevant field of expertise, plus good working knowledge of research values
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access), and GIS software packages (ArcView)
- Experience in data science and information management
- Understanding of climate change mitigation and adaptation in protected areas or the Cape Floristic Region biodiversity sector would be an advantage
- Good writing skills and the ability to prepare various reports
- Good social, and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid Code 8 driver’s license (with at least 1 year of driving experience)
- Candidate must be physically fit and able to conduct field work in tough terrain
Position: Invasive Animal Species Interns (X2)
Location: Table Mountain National Park

Requirements:
- An MSc degree in Natural / Biological / Conservation / Ecological Sciences that focussed on investigating animal behaviour / interactions / space use / movements using camera traps and or Wildlife GPS collars.
- A minimum of one-year relevant experience in the relevant field of expertise, plus good working knowledge of research values
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access), GIS software packages (ArcView) and R statistical computing.
- Experience in data science and information management
- Understanding of alien animal species management, impact and risk assessments in protected areas or the Cape Floristic Region biodiversity sector would be an advantage
- Good writing skills and the ability to prepare various reports and scientific publications
- Good social, and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid Code 8 driver’s license (with at least 1 year of driving experience)
Responsibilities:
