Position: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Groenkloof National Park (Head Office)

Closing date: 19 January 2026

Requirements:
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in accounting with Honours/Postgraduate qualification and must be a Chartered Accountant (SA), registered with South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and should be a registered Chartered Accountant (CASA)
  • A master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA) or a related discipline will be an advantage but not a prerequisite.
  • Should have 10 to 12 years of executive management experience in a financial environment with at least 5 years at higher/executive management level.
Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the CEO and the Board of SANParks as the CFO in terms of the Public Finance Management Act.
  • Develop and/or implementing the Financial Management and sustainability strategies.
  • Executing and managing financial controls and reporting including compilation of the Annual Financial Statements
  • Develop, implement and monitor the finance division business plan,
  • Ensure business efficiency and optimise commercial opportunities.

Position: Head- Office Of The CEO

Location: Groenkloof National Park (Head Office)

Requirements:
  • An NQF Level 8 qualification in Business Administration, Public Management, Conservatio. Environment or a related field.
  • Masters degree would be advantageous
  • 10 years of senior leadership or executive management experience in project management, operations, or strategy within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of corporate governance, financial management and strategic planning coupled with advanced leadership.
  • Demonstrate understanding of PFMA and other relevant legislation.
responsibilities
  • Oversee the efficient and effective operation of the CEO’s office,
  • Manage high priority initiatives and ensure alignment with the organization’s broader goals and strategies.
  • Manage complex, time-sensitive issues while maintaining discretion, confidentiality
  • Support the CEO in various operational, strategic, and administrative tasks and liaison with head office divisions.
  • Responsible for the formulating or adjusting of the programmes for major functions/divisions/department.
  • Advising line managers on the relevant work and policies.

Position: Storeman

Location: Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park 

Closing date: 2 January 2026

Requirements:
  • Minimum Grade 12 (Standard 10) or NQF level 4 or N3 certificate in inventory management, warehousing management, or stock control management
  • 1 Year working knowledge in SCM, inventory, stock control or warehouse management field with 3 years’ experience as an added advantage.
  • Proven Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel & Outlook.)
  • Code EB essential with code EC as an advantage.
Responsibilities:
  • Primarily responsible for procurement of goods and materials according to prescribes SOP’s.
  • Receiving of goods/stock.
  • Assist with the management of stock, material and spares in stores.
  • Assist with the distribution of stock to all camps.
  • Receiving and neatly packing of all items received.
  • Assist with stock take.

Position: Company Secretary

Location: Groenkloof National Park (Head Office)

Closing date: 29 December 2025

Requirements:
  • NQF Level 8 qualification in Business Administration, Governance, or Law or related field
  • At least 7-10 years Board or Company Secretarial and Governance experience
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and Board operations.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Board management software.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide Board Members with guidance on their duties, responsibilities, and powers.
  • Manage liaison with the Director-General and Minister’s offices regarding Board-related issues, appointments, and bilateral engagements.
  • Facilitate Board strategic review sessions and site visits to national parks.
  • Oversee the annual submission of Declaration of Interest forms by Board Members.
  • Coordinate the annual Board performance assessment process.
  • Facilitate induction and orientation of new Board Members.
