Position: Counselling Psychology Internship (X4)

Minimum Requirements (Qualification):

Currently registered as an MA (Counselling Psychology) student at a recognized
University

Critical Performance Areas:

Offer a professional and competent counselling services to registered TUT students

  • To help foster and develop both the academic and personal skills of TUT students
  • Take part in various psycho-educative programmes/presentations/training
  • Present psycho-educative Life Skills classes
  • Offer individual and group counselling services to children at a local children’s home
  • Comply with the administrative requirements at SDS
  • To be able to work within a team and contribute to effective team functioning

Position: Part Time Lecturers

Location: Pretoria Campus

The Tshwane School for Business and Society at the Pretoria Campus, 159 Nana Sita Street, requires the services of part-time lecturers for the MBA Saturday classes.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Doctoral Degree relating to any of the above field or an equivalent qualification.
  • Masters Degree in relevant field with at least ten years working experience in this field.
  • At least three years teaching and research experience at a tertiary institution will be required.
  • Excellent computer and ICT competencies required for the hybrid teaching environment.
  • Member of a professional body is advisable.
Critical Performance Areas:
  • Preparing and conducting lectures;
  • To participate in the administration and marking of tests, assignments, examination and other assessments;
  • To assist in the development of learning materials;
  • To maintain records to monitor the student`s progress , academic achievement and attendance;
  • To participate in school and faculty`s seminars;
  • To participate in the administration of the school programmes of study and other activities as requested.

Position: Driver

Location: Ga-Rankuwa Campus

requirements:
  • NQF level 1
  • General Education and Training
  • (Grade 9/ABET Level 4 National Certificate
  • Relevant driver’s license
  • Driver’s license EC
  • Public Driver Permit (PDP)

2-Years relevant experience in the specified area

Key performance areas/Core functions:
  • To provide efficient services of TUT fleet vehicles as scheduded and /or
    requested.
  • Transporting students for academic purposes
  • Transporting employees for meeting, workshops and lecturing
  • Pre-trip Vehicle inspections
  • Report accidents to transport officer
  • Record keeping of kilometers on log sheets
  • Reporting of all minor and major damages to vehicles

Position: SDS Practitioner-Disability

Location: Pretoria Campus

requirements:

A relevant Master’s Degree (NQF L9) in the field of Educational Psychology

Registration as an educational psychologist with the HPCSA

  • 3 years of full -time relevant experience in rendering specialist support to students
    with disabilities in higher education e.g., Accommodation assessments, special examinations for students with disabilities, etc.
  • South African Sign Language (SASL) language will be an added advantage
Critical Performance Areas:
  • Programme management and administration in disability-related services in the Pretoria
    campuses disability lab.
  • Liaise with all departments requesting SDS developmental programmes or interventions
    for students with disabilities.
  • Identify and diagnose students with learning disabilities.
  • Ensure and monitor customised programme delivery.

Position: Senior Lecturer

Location: Pretoria Campus

Closing Date: 16 August 2024

requirements:

A relevant Doctoral degree in Operations Management or Industrial

  • A minimum five (5) years teaching and research, at tertiary level and/or industrial experience.
  • Working experience should indicate the following: (1) project (s) conducted, (2) application of operations management tools/techniques and (3) milestones achieved in these project(s).
  • A track record in publications of articles in accredited and non-accredited journals and conference attendance.
  • Supervision of master’s and Doctoral students

Registration with SAPICS or SAIIE is recommended

Key performance areas/Core functions:
  • TLT Leadership including administration of study material and evaluation of
    lecturers
  • Compiling and writing report on data matrix
  • Administration of work integrated learning/practical work
  • To present lectures and assessment of students in related subjects
  • Conduct quality check of formative and summative/examination papers
  • To be an active participant in the research activities of the department especially
    in the field of Operation Management or Industrial Engineering.
  • Supervision of postgraduate study
