Key Responsibilities

Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, record-keeping, and correspondence.

Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.

Organise and prepare documents and logistics for internal/external meetings and workshops.

Take meeting minutes and circulate them to relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the organisation’s security framework to align with ISO27001 / NIST, POPIA) and information security guidelines stipulated therein.

Acquire all reports from recent organization Cyber security risk assessment as well as any cyber security related framework (NIST CSF, ISO27001/2, CIS Top 18), regulations (POPIA) and related documents from the NRF Create a practical security Strategy and roadmap based on the current as-is.

BTech, BSc Hons (NQF 8) in field related to climatology/meteorology/micrometeorology, hydrology, air quality/atmospheric chemistry, biogeochemistry, physics, chemistry, environmental science or engineering MSc or MTech will be advantageous Valid driver’s license: EB or compliant for pulling a trailer (Boat) would be advantageous Skippers licence would be advantageous, or must be willing to acquire Remote Pilot Certificate would be advantageous, or must be willing to acquire

5 years’ proven technical experience working with hydrometeorological instrument arrays and well as a range of other equipment and sampling protocols At least 3 years’ experience working in remote areas including experience working in protected areas, sometimes containing dangerous game. Management of unskilled labour teams Regular off road driving experience more than 3 years

Key Responsibilities

Manage the operational performance, maintenance, and upgrades of the Cathedral Peak (CP) LTER observation platform, ensuring continuous data collection and functionality.

Conduct routine monthly sampling and maintenance of the CP instrumentation network and assist with other platforms as needed.

Conduct pre-testing, deployment, commissioning, calibration, and servicing of instrumentation, including repairs and inspections.

BTech in Engineering or related Field ECSA or equivalent project management professional registration is Advantageous (i.e. PMI-PMP / PRINCE2 / PMI-ACP / IPMA or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities

Provide project management services to SARAO program managers and management in the execution of Technology Research and Development projects to support the construction of major Radio Astronomy facilities.

Project Planning & Integration: Identify project deliverables and develop success criteria; Develop project implementation plan and its subsidiary plans; Establish performance measurement baselines (scope, schedule, cost, resources & quality); Lead various reviews and acquire project plan approval.
