• Sample stream sediment and soil material for economic and environmental purposes

• Take rock samples to obtain geological info on the outcrop material

• Collect special samples for mineral evaluation purposes

Position: Environmental Engineering Intern

Have Advance Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering

• Have a Degree or higher when applying for the internship.
• Only degree from recognised South African Universities will be accepted.
• Be declared medically fit for the position and enviroment, as determined by a risk-based medical Examination at the relevant Sibanyestillwater Occupation Health Care Centre.
• Have clear security screening results.
• Applicants will need to undergo an interview process and psychometric assessment, which will be considered during allocation of Internship.
• The selection process will not be delayed to accommodate applicants whose screening process is delayed for whatsoever reason

• Completed Trade Test – Certified Competent as Electrician
• At least 1 years’ experience in a related role

• Must be able to do standby and overtime
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
• NQF LEVEL 5 OR N2 Electrical certificate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend and conduct Safety meetings.

• Conduct and participate in risk assessments.

• Allocate tasks to subordinates.

• Attend to breakdowns and emergencies as required.

• Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required.

• Ensure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to subordinates.

Position: Laboratory Technician (X2)

• NQF 6 (Diploma or Advanced Certificate) in Chemistry
• At least 5 years’ experience in a laboratory in an Chemistry environment
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable).

responsibilities:

• Capture material transactions on the Metal Accounting Transaction System.

• Conduct first line maintenance on instrumentation and equipment.

• Handle gas cylinders in the laboratory environment.

• Collect scrubber samples.

• Crush, pulverise and grind material by recommended methods (i.e. jaw crusher, vertical spindle mill, batch mill, ball mill, ring mill etc.)
