Position: RUS (Resource Utilization Section) Operator

Location: Bedfordview

Minimum requirements:
  •         Grade 12
  •         Call center qualification will be an added advantage
  •         At least 2 years’ administrative experience within Air Traffic Services (ATS)
  •         Knowledge of rostering principles and the Air Traffic Services (ATS) regulatory guidelines
Job description:

– Plan and populate unit and pool rosters in accordance with the prescribed guidelines, considering leave, training, shifts, etc., which should include Annual Proficiencies, Post Leave Checks, etc. and validity of ratings/medical/ELP. Engagement with the Licensing Coordinators to ensure licensing information on the RUS platform/accessible trackers is kept current.

Issue or publish (on the accessible platform) roster request submission dates when instructed ensuring that individual requests are considered where possible. Issue roster submission dates when instructed to ensure all rosters are completed and published 4 (four) weeks before the start of the relevant cycle. Engage Line Management on staff’s requests and any other relevant requirements during the planning phase of the roster.

Conduct regular checks and ensure that all licensed personnel rostered for operational duty meet regulatory requirements.

Position: Obstacle Evaluator

Minimum requirements:
  •  Aeronautical Obstacle Assessment Course or Flight Procedure Design/PANS-OPS course
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
  • AIS Core Content Course

 Minimum 2 years experience in Aeronautical Obstacle Assessment

Job description:

Compile and submit all relevant documentation associated with the conduct of an obstacle evaluation (domestic/international) as per ATNS policy and procedures;  

Collect newly surveyed Obstacle Data and update the necessary documents and files; 

 Inform and update other Departments on Obstacles and new Obstacle Data;  

Production of Annex 14 Obstacle assessments and penetration Reports;  

Production of Annex 15(eTOD) Obstacle assessments Reports; 

Position: Flight Procedure Specialist

Location: Bedfordview

Closing date: 30 September 2025

Minimum requirements:

·       Grade 12

·       Basic PANS-OPS Course including On-The-Job Training;

·       Advanced PANS-OPS Course in line with ICAO requirements. 

·       Completed Flight Procedure Specialist On-the-job training programme.

Job description:

Provision of technical advice during the URS consultation process; 

Production of conceptual designs in preparation for and during the URS consultation process;  

Facilitating the sourcing of data relevant to procedure design;  

Processing of raw data for incorporation into design environment;  

Initializing and preparation of the design environment as required by FPS utilizing correct, verified data;  

Position: Aerodrome & Approach ATC

Location: Johannesburg

Minimum requirements:

 A valid Aerodrome and Approach Procedural and Radar Rating

        At least Two (2) years’ experience as an Aerodrome and Approach Controller

Job description:

Maintain own proficiency / validation for the rating held;  

Maintain valid medical (Class 3);  

Complete a minimum of two performance assessments annually.

 Comply with published duty rosters and by being available for call out duties when required;  

Comply with the Quality Management System (ISO), the Safety Management System (SMS), local Station Standing Instructions (SSIs), ATNS Directives and Procedures and the Civil Aviation Regulations and Technical Standards (CATS & CARS).

Position: International ATS Instructor FTC 

Location: Kempton Park

Formal Qualifications: 

 Matric/ High school diploma

       Bachelor’s degree is preferable.

  • ·       Has completed all relevant rating courses from ICAO approved academy/school or college.
  • ·       Train- the-Trainer course from ICAO approved academy/school or college.
  • ·       Certificate of competence for assessor and moderator courses.
  • ·       ICAO English language proficiency (ELP) level 5.
Experience:

·       Have / had ATC license from ICAO approved authority for a period of 10 years or more with the Area Procedural / Surveillance and Approach Procedural / Surveillance ratings or all validated ATS rating disciplines.

·       Have ATS Instructor license / certificate issued by ICAO approved authority for 5 years or more.

·       Operational experience with ATC simulators including scenario design for simulator platform (e.g. TopSky, ATC Coach etc)

·       Experience demonstrating excellent teaching and classroom management techniques.

·       Experience of strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulator systems and procedures.

·       Experience of 5 years as an assessor and moderator.

·       Experience of course development (Competency based training & assessment) would be valuable.

Job description:

To provide ATS specific and related generic training and development services to clients, in accordance with laid down internal and external regulations, rules, directives and procedures.
