Position: PROJECT COORDINATOR

Location: Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with at least five years’ experience.
The ideal candidate must at least have 3- 5 years’ experience in project management as well as experience in coordinating projects and contracts.
Have sound knowledge of Tropical and Subtropical crops disciplines.
Excellent computer literacy with proven data management skills, excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
High self-motivation and an ability to work independently and to multitask.

Provide administrative support to ensure project goals are met.
Management of campus reporting and research information systems.
Collation of technical reports for management reporting purposes.
Archiving of institute project information.
Management of Project Office and Quality Control of project proposals and reports in collaboration with Research and Support Managers.
Assistance with Business Planning in collaboration with Research Managers.
Liaison with ARC Cooperate structures in relation to policy, legal requirements and intellectually property rights.
Execute secretary duties for the office of the Senior Manager Research

Position: FARM ASSISTANT X3

Location: Levubu, Limpopo.

Requirements:

Grade 10 with 2 years’ experience and/ or exposure to the fruit farming environment.
Understanding of basic agricultural practices.
Basic knowledge on manual operation of farm equipment and machinery.
Experience in the construction industry (plumbing, carpentry, building etc.) will be an added advantage.
Good communication skills written and verbal.
Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
Willing to work under adverse weather conditions

Description

Carrying out of Farm practices as directed by the Farm management and/or a Researcher.
Use and maintenance of tools and equipment that are made available.
Carrying out of manual tasks as assigned by Supervisors.
Observance of Occupational Health and Safety instructions on the use of the appropriate protective clothing.

Position: Poultry Nutrition Internship X2

Location: Irene, Pretoria

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree/ B-tech/ Advance Diploma in Entomology, Animal Science, or Agriculture.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Must be adaptable and eager to engage with novel research concepts and methods.

Description:

Conduct applied research on Yellow Mealworm biology and production systems.
Develop, refine, and document effective breeding and rearing strategies.
Investigate the use of different substrates to improve cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
Meticulously collect, manage, and process all experimental data.
Maintain optimal hygiene and operational protocols in the insectary.
