MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science with forty percent (40%) and above pass mark.
Should be 18 years of age and older.
Communicate, read, and write in English.
Successfully complete pre-employment assessments (medical, psychometrics, polygraph etc.).
Medically fit to work for BMR or PMR.
Comply with security regulations and screening.

This advertisement is for database pool recruitment for future senior process operator vacancies that may arise at Impala Platinum Refinery in Springs. We are looking for prospective candidates who fit our demographic targets and come from underrepresented groups.

Position: Rail Maintenance Foreman

Location: Rustenburg

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

STD 10/Grade 12/NQF Level 4 is essential.
Mechanical Trade is essential.
Track Master certification (TETA) is essential.
Completed a formal Foreman Development Programme OR similar is desirable.
Minimum of 5 years experience in surface Track Maintenance and Construction (1067mm Gauge) is essential.
Minimum 5 years working in the Mining Industry is desirable.
2 years Acting/Relieving experience as a Foreman is essential.
5 years general surface Track Maintenance is essential.
Computer Literacy is essential.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

To ensure adequate availability of spares.
Effective repair and return to service of spares as per spares management procedure.
To ensure effective supervision of team in terms of resource allocation, discipline, POLC and following proper planned maintenance system compliance.
To ensure the workshop environment is up to standard, safe and properly controlled.
Activities within the workplace must be controlled and over inspections must be conducted.
To liaise with other third-party specialists, Rail operations and shaft management conduct maintenance activities.
To ensure compliance to environmental standards in area of responsibility. Required to exercise control over working cost, renewals, capital budgets and orders.
