Minimum requirements

• A Bachelor of Nursing Sciences degree (NQF level 8).
• A qualification in Nursing Education (NQF Level 8).
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• A minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitation of Teaching and Learning activities in the simulation laboratory of the undergraduate programme.
• Clinical accompaniment of students in clinical facilities.
• Employment of a variety of clinical teaching and learning strategies.
• Implementation of clinical assessment strategies to determine learner competencies.
• Record-keeping of clinical teaching of students.
• Plan and implement a clinical program in accordance with the university schedule.
• Coaching and mentoring students in a clinical learning environment.

Position: AI Innovation Team Lead

Location: Potchefstroom

Minimum requirements:

• A doctoral degree (NQF level 10) with specialization in Education / IT / Human Resources / Law.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in understanding and use of AI in the HE context – use of these tools as a lecturer or as a teaching assistant.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ relevant work experience at the NWU – exposure to admin systems and processes at the NWU at assistant/admin level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Training of students, staff and faculty committees for the ethical and responsible use of AI in collaboration with Digital Academy, the Research Support Office and CTL.
• Development of training materials and training (CPD) for staff and students on the use of AI.

• Participate in research in collaboration with academics on Artificial Intelligence in the TL & Research context to provide specialised guidance and support to the NWU.
• Research how Artificial Intelligence can benefit HE and identify associated risks. Apply for external funding and grants for AI initiatives at the NWU.

Position: Kinderkineticist

Location: Potchefstroom

• An honours degree (NQF level 8) in Human Movement Science, specialising in Kinderkinetics and Pediatric Exercise Science.
• Registered with the South African Professional Institute of Kinderkinetics (SAPIK).
• A minimum of two (2) years’ service delivery experience as a Kinderkinetics – independent practitioner/supervised practice.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ support and independent instruction experience in the aquatic and/or remedial programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1)Service Delivery (remedial, swimming, special needs, baby stimulation, motor development sessions).
2)Evaluation and Reporting (±400 evaluations/year, data capture, report writing, parent feedback).

3)Programme Planning (lesson design, preparation of 100 lesson per term).
