Location: Kathu, Northern Cape

N6 Mechanical Engineering Certificate or higher qualification.
· Valid trade test (millwright or diesel mechanic) will be an advantage.
Diploma in engineering (NQF 6) or higher
Minimum of 5 years’ Managerial (Foreman/Superintendent) experience within mining mechanical environment and earthmoving maintenance experience is essential.
Proven track record of Executing of Capital Projects
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Ensuring compliance in the area of responsibility, including procedures and code of practices
- Proper Contractor and site management;
- Machine and equipment entry and operational permit inspections
- Consistently achieving the required availabilty and reliability of all equipment and machinery in the area of responsibility;
- Manage maintenance activities in the area of responsibility
- Maintenance cost in the area of responsibility;
- Day to day running of the engineering section;
- Electrical and mechanical functions in the area of responsibility;
- Financial and the budgetary effectiveness;
- Machinery performance and productivity;
- Achieving monthly production targets while adhering to maintenance schedule; and
- Execution on capital projects.
