position: Audit and Risk Committee Member

Requirements:
  • A relevant three-year degree
  • A postgraduate qualification in Accounting and/or Auditing
  • Professional registration as one of the following:
    *Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))
    *Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
    *Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • A minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant experience in two or more of the following areas and at least 5 years senior management experience in any of two of the following areas:

    *Financial Management

    *Internal Audit

    *External Audit

    *Corporate Governance

    *Risk Management
  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of:
    *The Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
    *National Treasury Regulations
  • Applicable accounting standards (e.g., GRAP, IFRS)
  • Proven experience in engaging with Audit and/or Risk Committees
  • A demonstrated track record of service on an Audit Committee and/or Board of Directors
  • Experience within the aviation sector will be an added advantage
Purpose of the Role

The Independent Member will contribute to the effectiveness of the Audit and Risk Committee by assisting with providing independent oversight, strategic input, and expert advice on financial and performance management, governance, risk management, ICT, internal audit, combined assurance and internal control processes. The role is critical in strengthening accountability, transparency, assurance, governance and compliance within SACAA.

Position: Human Capital Committee Member

Location: Centurion

Requirements:
  • A relevant degree in Human Resource / Capital Management or a related field
  • At least 10 years ’proven experience as an HR / HC practitioner, three of which must be in a public entity
  • Demonstrated experience serving on a Board or Human Resources Committee or an equivalent committee within a public entity
  • Strong knowledge of HR governance, labour legislation, and organizational development
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and independence of thought
Purpose of the Role:

The Independent Member will assist to provide strategic oversight, guidance, and expert advice on human capital management, remuneration, governance, and related policies. The role supports the Committee in ensuring best practices in HC, change management and alignment with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements. A specialist member is not a Board member as defined in the Civil Aviation Act, and as appointed by the Minister, but serves in the committee for the purposes outlined above.

Position: Inspector- Non-Scheduled Operations and General Aviation x2

National Diploma in Administration or Relevant Equivalent Qualification and

Aviation Security and Air carrier/ Airline certificates

3 years Aviation Security  experience

responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute inspections and oversights and other types of monitoring activities in line with functional procedures.
  • Conduct oversight and other types of monitoring activities as assigned by the manager, make appropriate recommendations, and submit comprehensive reports.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections or audits to ensure the resolution of identified non-compliances.
  • Process applications for the approval of security programmes or manuals, air operator certificates, and other such applications.
  • Evaluate, validate and review security programmes, and other relevant security manuals for Air Carriers, Aerodromes, and General Aviation.
  • Process applications for the validation of appointed officials for Aviation Security.
