Position: Digital Marketing & E-commerce Intern

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Closing Date :24 April 2025

 Requirements:

– Currently studying digital marketing, digital advertising, e-commerce, or a related field (part of your course or internship module preferred)
– Strong attention to detail and interest in the technical side of digital
– Comfortable working with spreadsheets, email tools, and online platforms
– Good communication skills
– Proactive, collaborative, and willing to learn
– Available to work in-person at our Cape Town HQ (110 Hatfield Street)

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist with updating and maintaining the Chommies online store
– Support the Head of E-commerce with daily e-comm tasks and admin
– Help execute and schedule digital marketing campaigns (email, paid ads, etc.)
– Clean and organise customer data for CRM and email marketing
– Ensure product listings are accurate and visually appealing
– Support performance tracking and reporting
– Assist in executing tactics/strategies to increase conversion rate, improve customer experience and boost overall sales
– Stay curious, learn, and ask questions

Position: Sales and Marketing Graduate

Requirements:
  • A degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven industrial experience (internships, placements, or full-time roles) in the packaging sector or similar industries.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and analyze customer needs and market trends.
  • A proactive, self-driven attitude with a passion for sales and marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM tools is a plus.
  • A strong team player who can collaborate across departments.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Development: Identify and engage with new business opportunities within the industrial sector, with a particular focus on large manufacturers.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities, providing actionable insights for marketing strategies.
  • Sales Presentations & Proposals: Create and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals tailored to the needs of large manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team: Work alongside the marketing team to develop promotional materials, online content, and campaigns that support sales efforts.
  • Sales Strategy: Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies aimed at increasing revenue and market share in the packaging solutions industry.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Monitor sales performance and prepare reports on progress, customer feedback, and sales pipeline activity.
