B. Com Hons (CTA). The candidate must have at least 5 years’ relevant working experience. A good knowledge and exposure of the
Pension Funds Act is a prerequisite. The candidate must have successfully completed articles and working experience in the retirement funds
industry and/or financial sector would be an advantage.
Key Performance Areas:
• Analysis of financial statements, statistics and reports of registered retirement funds;
• Conduct peer reviews of analysts work in consultation with management;
• Guide liquidators through the liquidations on funds in terms of legislation;
• Deal decisively with enquiries, queries, extensions, exemptions, etc. in terms of departmental deadlines and policies; and
• On request, participate and assist colleagues in the Conduct Supervision section of the Retirement Funds Division to plan the on-site visits,
scheduling and conducting the on-site visits and reporting on findings and recommending corrective actions on other tasks related to financial
statements, statistics and reports.
Position: DESKTOP TECHNICIAN

Requirements:
A National Diploma in IT or Computer Systems or equivalent. A+ or N+ITIL Foundation certification. Minimum 1-2 years of Desktop Support Experience.
Key Performance Areas:
⦁ Manage the FSCA ICT service desk function as an entry point or single point of contact (SPOC) for business users.
⦁ Respond to calls on ICT Call Centre telephone system.
⦁ Log, categorise, prioritise and route service tickets on the ICT incident management platform.
⦁ Respond to incidents and service requests and ensure that they are successfully finalised and update stakeholders accordingly.
⦁ Identify, analyse, troubleshoot and resolve computer problem affecting user’s ability to perform business functions.
⦁ Install, configure, modify and delete user settings according to the FSCA operating standards on new and existing user computers.
⦁ Setup and configure application clients on new and existing user computers.
Position: ICT SECURITY ENGINEER

Requirements:
A diploma/degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology, and relevant information security certification such as ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer, ISC2 SSCP or ISACA CISM are preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in information security, with a focus on information or cyber security assurance, governance and security risk management are required. Knowledge of industry regulations and frameworks including but not limited to the ECT Act, POPI Act, ISO/IEC27001, NIST CSF, COBIT and understanding of ICT security policies, standards and procedures advantageous. Strong technical knowledge and experience with Linux based operating systems (i.e redhat, centos or debian based) is required.
Key Performance Areas:
⦁ Manage and maintain identity threat protection and intrusion prevention solutions, and ensure that they function optimally.
⦁ Prepare monthly reports on ICT security events, incidents, breaches and policy or process violations in line with the response plans (CSIRP and CMP).
⦁ Prepare monthly operational reports on ICT security and risks, for presentation at management committees.
⦁ Coordinate the review of ICT security policies, standards and procedures in line with industry frameworks.
⦁ Ensure that ICT security risk register, and mitigation plans are updated quarterly or as required.
⦁ Coordinate the information requests for governance, assurance, audit and control assessments
Position: SPECIALIST ANALYST

Requirements:
A Degree in Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Investment Analytics, Risk Management, or equivalent qualification. The specialist analyst should have intermediate knowledge of the system(s) of record required to conduct market surveillance activities and translates business strategy into work programs and processes. Minimum of 4 years work experience in a field where designing, researching, and implementing market surveillance solutions and using surveillance tools to deter market abuse was major, preferably in a financial services sector.
Key Performance Areas:
⦁ Conducts “Market Conduct Market Surveillance” which begins with computerised analyses of activities that trigger “alerts” requiring additional review to determine whether the activity was a violation of a law, rule, regulation, policy or procedure requirement related to one or more Market Conduct Risk Behaviors;
⦁ Reviews alerts in accordance with prescribed guidance, and, reporting and analysis of results;
⦁ Participates in development and design of the scripts used to review the alerts;
⦁ Identifies, researches, analyses and resolves complex problems;
⦁ Prepares, and conducts presentations on systems, reports, and findings to stakeholders, as and when required.
Position: EVENTS MANAGER

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, Events Management, Marketing or a related field. Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation or accredited membership with an industry body will be an added advantage. 3 – 5 years of experience in event planning and management, ideally within the financial sector. Professionals with over 10 years of experience may be considered with the submission of a detailed portfolio demonstrating their expertise. Must have a proven track record of successfully organizing impactful events.
Key Performance Areas:
- Plan and organise events, including conferences, workshops, seminars, and corporate gatherings.
- Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Assist with managing the overall brand presence of the FSCA across all events.
- Manage event registrations and communications with participants (including speakers, presenters).
- Develop and execute event marketing strategies to ensure high attendance and engagement, including social media.
- Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events.
- Manage on-site logistics, including registration desks, symbols for communication e.g., directions, and delegate materials.
- Prepare detailed reports on event outcomes, including attendance, budget adherence, and participant feedback.
- Manage the reconciliation of event budgets and payments.
- Ensure sustainability in event management life cycle.
