Minimum requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

•    Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom (Hons) (Accounting)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION/S:

• Mining Tax course or similar

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

·        3 – 5 years relevant financial accounting experience; Mining industry experience advantageous.

·        SAGE X3 experience is advantageous.

·        Power BI experience is advantageous.

Job description:

1.      Prepares month-end trial balance and journals including depreciation, inventory, prepayments, provisions, and accruals, and completes the month-end close.

2.      Review supplier reconciliations.

3.      Reconciles and clears the general ledger control accounts.

4.      Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and signed off every month within month-end deadlines.

5.      Prepares and submits tax calculations and VAT submissions.

6       Validates and authorizes all financial reconciliation

7       Prepares supporting documentation for and assists with the half-year-end review and year-end audit.
