JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Std 7 / Grade 9 plus Treatment Training Certificate
For applicants with Minimum of 2 Years Wastewater experience:
- Std 8 / Grade 10 (NTC I) plus Treatment Training Certificate or
- Std 8 / Grade 10 (NTC I) Water and Wastewater Treatment practice
N1 or
3 . Std 8/Grade 10 (NTC I) plus the Core Unit Standard from the Water and Wastewater NQF 2 Qualification equivalent to a value of at least 30 credits or

- NTC 1 in Water and Wastewater Treatment practice
For applicants with Minimum of 1 Year Wastewater experience:
- Std 8/ Grade 10 (or NTC I) plus Operations certificate or
- Std 8 / Grade 10- (or NTCI) plus Core Unit Standards from the Water and Wastewater
NQF 3 qualification equivalent to a value of least 30 credits or
- Matric / Grade 12 (or NTC III) plus Treatment Training Certificate
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in cleaning tanks by manually using spades and rakes to remove debris into solid waste bins.
Clean the weirs of tanks with brooms.
Assist in removing weeds and debris from the centre boxes and walls of tanks. Assist in cleaning disinfection tanks by removing settled sludge physically.
Assist in general operations and maintenance.
Clean up sludge spillages and loading it into solid waste bins.
Remove dry sludge from sludge drying beds manually for mechanical removal.
Position: ADMINISTRATOR
REMUNERATION: R246 060 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 or N3 (NQF4) + accredited certificate in business administration /secretarial (6 months).
2 years of general admin or secretarial experience.
Experience in SAP.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procure and payment of goods and services (SAP system).
Data capture and filing office orders, delivery notes and invoices.
Monitor daily staff (maintenance and process) attendance by biometric fingerprint reader system.
Compile and upgrade asset registers for offices and change rooms.
Maintain incident register.
Assist in switchboard operations.
Communicate information to employees via the notice boards and announcements.
Position: PROJECT MANAGER X2
REMUNERATION: R1 066 236 TOTAL COST TO COMPANY PER ANNUM

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
BTech/ BSc degree in Civil Engineering (NQF 7)
5 years’ experience in civil engineering (water and sewerage/sanitation) of which 2 must be in project management.
Valid driver’s license (Code B)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor contractors and consultants in terms of the contract document, General Conditions of Contract (GCC), specifications and other legislative requirements. Check progress, approve and process payment certificates submitted by contractors and consultants.
Conduct site visits to check if work is undertaken according to plans.
Compile project plans on MS Projects and track progress.
Position: DEPOT MANAGER
REMUNERATION: R1 194 228 TOTAL COST TO COMPANY PER ANNUM

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
National Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (NQF 6)
5 years experience in water & sanitation operations of which 3 years must be at the managerial level
Valid Drivers’ License (Code EB)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the provision of all continuous water and sanitation service to the public throughout the allocated depot area.
In close consultation with UFW Department ensure that unaccounted for water is kept to an acceptable minimum by managing all leaks and repairs.
Ensure that all relevant records are kept for the entire Depot.
Manage the installation, replacement, and testing of water meters to ensure compliance with National and Johannesburg Water standards.
Direct the development of a preventative maintenance programme for the entire water and sewer reticulation system – including large valves PRV’s and outfall sewers served by the depot area.
Position: REGIONAL MANAGER
REMUNERATION: R1 551 852 TOTAL COST TO COMPANY PER ANNUM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the development of overall strategy for the region in the context of the policy framework set by Johannesburg Water.
Initiate and coordinate the formulation of policy for development of service delivery in the respective regions.
Ensure that appropriate auditing; monitoring and control is carried out in all areas of functional responsibility (e.g. standards, policies, procedures, financial controls, stock controls, plan and vehicle control, etc.).
Plan, propose and implement pro-active measure and responses to public needs and requests to improve service delivery.
Liaise with all customers as and when required within the region.
