Who Can Apply?

To qualify for a full-time bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen.
• Be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Have achieved an average of 65% or higher in high school.
• Have been accepted (or provisionally accepted) to a South African university for the 2025 academic year.
• Be enrolled in a full-time course of study.

Requirements:

Qualifications

National Diploma in Media Studies and/or Television and/or Journalism and/or Communications

Experience

5 years in News and/or Television and/or Broadcast Journalism

Drivers Licenses – Essential

Computer Literacy Editing

MS Office Suite – Intermediate

responsibilities:

Conduct research and write scripts on topics prior to broadcasts.

Identify newsworthy events and developments and generate unique story ideas from this.

Attend weekly diary meetings to pitch, discuss story ideas and developments and plan the week ahead with the team

Generate thought provoking and compelling stories.

Check electronic media (wires), social media and articles of interest.

Check archives for specified and appropriate visuals.

Position: Motion Graphic Designer

Location: JHB North

Requirements:

Qualifications

National Diploma in Motion Graphic Design

Experience

3 years in Graphic Design 

1 year in Coding

Language

English – Advanced

Technology Proficiency

Microsoft Office Suite – Basic

responsibilities:

Create graphics requested by Output team.

Ensure graphics are in line with the Channel’s style guide.

Conceptualise new ideas for a redesign, and/or long-term projects.

Take ownership of new ideas and implement them from concept to the final product.

Pitch graphic ideas for story analysis and for new shows in line with the Channel’s style guide.

Check all graphics for accuracy before they are published.

Position: Junior Producer- Creative Services

Location: Gauteng

Requirements:

A National Diploma in Video Editing

A minimum of 1 years experience within a similar role

Key Deliverables:

Conceptualising creative, innovative on-air and digital platform promos across channels and multi channels.

Communicating with the Creative Director to establish promo needs and create promos to match briefs.

Guiding and directing content promos that are aligned to key Marketing and business objectives.

Supplying audio, sound effects and grading of edits to create unification with pictures.

Logging material to select shots needed to make promotions.

Editing and cutting numerous promo ideas that can live across key Marketing platforms in line with brand requirements and specified templates.

Supervising and promoting the pre and post production audio and graphic sessions.
