Position: ATO Inspector Pilot/FSTD

Requirements:
Commercial Pilot License plus SA Air Force Category B Flight Instructor rating or Grade 2 Flight Instructor rating issued under Part 61 or Part 62 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2011
300 hours – 500 hours flight instructor training experience
responsibilities:
- Approve and conduct audits on all Part 141 Certificate holders conducting aviation training as per the Master Surveillance Plan to establish compliance.
- Qualify FSTDs regulated by Part 60 and conduct audits as per the Master Surveillance Plan to establish compliance.
- Conduct audits and inspections as per SACAA Procedures to establish compliance
- Provide oversight the activities of designated
- Make relevant recommendations pertaining to safety management systems.
- Recommend enforcement measures with respect to regulatory non-compliances
- Provide factual reports of audits and inspections conducted on the training organisations.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of corrective action and the closure of action within allocated time frames.
- Facilitate approval, and their maintenance with respect to Training and Procedures Manuals
Position: Trainee Safety Information Officer
Location: Midrand

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- National Diploma in safety management or relevant NQF level 6 Tertiary Qualification
Ideal:
- Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems/ Informatics or any Quantitative Management qualification Basic Certification in aircraft accident investigation
Experience
- 1-2 years Data capturing and analysis role or
- 3 years Administration
- Aviation experience would be advantageous
responsibilities:
- The Trainee Aviation Safety Information Officer will be trained to:
- Capture data from available records into the required formats e.g. databases, table, spreadsheet.
- Verify query missing data and errors observed during data entry
- Review and validate all data from the records and maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Make regular backups of data
- Update registers and statistics to ensure all data is up-to-date and accessible for team use.
- Assist in the conduct of safety studies and research on available data and comparative data from other states
- Assist in the preparation of reports to support the monitoring and analyses of trends and produce reports on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Keep records of all the report.
- Support the team with any additional administrative tasks when required.

Experience
- 3 or more Years in Administration and Office Support experience
responsibilities:
• Coordinate all office of the DCA related activities and manage liaison between other divisions.
• Assist with all the logistical arrangements relating to the office of DCA projects and work requirements.
• Assist the PA with managing the DCA diary and scheduling of appointments.
• Assist the PA in arrange and setting up workshops/seminars/team building initiatives.
• Assist in the draft of minutes of meetings and follow up on actions items form meetings.
