MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant Bachelor’s / BTech Degree; with
- A total of five years’ experience in:
- Technology transfer;
- Working with intellectual property registration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the dedicated Intellectual Property (IP) Legal Advisor for DRI. Ensure strict compliance with the University of Pretoria’s (UP) IP policy, current IP legislation, and other pertinent laws and regulations;
- Oversee the implementation of the Contract Research Policy, the Intellectual Property Policy, and the Intellectual Property and Compliance Regulations, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and legal requirements;
- Promote and facilitate contract research and innovation at the University of Pretoria. This includes developing strategies to access research and innovation opportunities, and defining and implementing pathways to market for UP’s technological innovation;
- Identify industry partners and provide expert legal advice on potential licensing agreements. Work proactively to establish beneficial collaborations and agreements that advance UP’s research and innovation objectives;
- Negotiate, draft, review, and approve research contracts. Ensure that all documents meet legal standards and protect the interests of the university;
Position: Audio Visual Technician

- Computer operating and set- up skills;
- Electronic repairs;
- Maintenance and repair of audio-visual systems;
- Support of audio-visual system;

OR
- Relevant National three-year Diploma;
- A total of two years’ experience in:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing (1st line) maintenance on AV and electronic equipment. (Technical task);
- Data projector replacement;
- Ensure that the venues are maintained and operational at all times per agreement;
- Venue inspection and reporting, including structure, cleanliness and general appearance;
- Escalate unresolved maintenance problems to 3rd level;
Position: Senior Administrative Consultant
Department of Enrolment and Student Administration

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Gr 12 certificate; WITH
- Three years’ experience in office administration;
- One-year experience in student application systems at a tertiary institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality assurance with regard to the reviewing of undergraduate, postgraduate and distance education online study applications, ensuring compliance with faculty admission requirements, with special emphasis on the evaluation on international applicants’ coursework (Which has a direct impact on the admission processes). Primary point of contact for student, staff and other stakeholders seeking assistance with application related queries;
Ensure enrolment contracts comply with legal requirements, update student records accordingly, and efficiently attend to contract queries. Streamline the contract management workflow, reducing delays and bottlenecks during the registration process. Position: Senior IT Asset Assistant
Department of Information Technology Services

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant National three-year diploma; with
- Two years’ experience with/in:
- Administrative processes and procedures in an IT environment;
- Working in a client service environment;
- Inventory management;
- Valid driver’s license;
OR
- Grade 12; with
- Four years’ experience with/in:
- Administrative processes and procedures in an IT environment;
- Working in a client service environment;
- Inventory management;
- Valid driver’s license.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and dispatch ICT equipment in the Information Technology Services (ITS) stores, including new equipment, decommissioned and loan equipment;
- Unload goods and verify goods received against order forms;
- Coordinate disposal of redundant equipment, either to UP redundant store or for destruction;
- Catalogue and label equipment with storage details;
- Add tags to all ICT equipment, where required, and possibly at different locations;
- Capture and update relevant asset data on the applicable systems, including the asset register;
- Pack equipment and assets according to cataloguing processes;
- Check and monitor the cleanliness of the stores and report any issues to the relevant manager;
- All other administration related to the post;
Position: Clinical Assistant-Reproduction
Department of Production Animal Studies
CLOSING DATE: 31 January 2025
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A BVSc/BVMCh degree or an appropriate equivalent veterinary qualification;
- Registration as a veterinarian with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) or authorised to be enrolled for MMedVet studies;
- Applicable experience of at least two years as a veterinarian in a private practice with a caseload including reproduction, or training of at least one year in the specific field of veterinary reproduction as an intern at a recognised training facility; and
- Compliance with entry requirements for a Masters’ programme with a commitment to enroll for an MMedVet (Reproduction) degree and to complete within prescribed time frame.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively participating in the clinical/experiential training of veterinary and veterinary nursing students while rendering services in the clinics of the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital, on farms and in satellite clinics;
- Assist with teaching of undergraduate veterinary and veterinary nursing students;
- Participating in providing a 24-hour clinical service and in community engagement activities, including disadvantaged communities, as delegated by the Head of Department;
- Participate in Departmental research and publications; and
- Performing departmental administrative duties as delegated by the Section head/Head of Department.
