Position: Research and Development Senior Technologist

Location: Worcester

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Food Technology or similar
  • Degree in Food Science or B Tech in food technology would be advantageous
  • 3-7 years’ experience in a Food-related FMCG environment with preferably 3 years in a R&D role.
  • Required to travel and occasionally work irregular hours
  • Required to work in different environments – factory and office
  • Participation in required taste session
  • Valid driver’s license
Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the project brief scope with multi-disciplinary teams to understand requirements and deliverables needed per project
  • Execute the product brief according to project scope requirements. (Trials, product samples, tastes sessions, product analysis – shelf life/nutritional, etc)
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including relevant external and internal stakeholders – supplier briefs and pre–trial meetings
  • Determine the impact that the current and/or new materials, machine requirements, process flows, labour compliments, throughput etc have on costs.

Position: Regional Supply Chain Manager

Location: Hammarsdale

Qualification & Experience:
  • Minimum of a degree in Supply Chain/ Operations management.
  • MBA would be an added advantage.
  • Valid Code EB drivers’ licence
  • A minimum of 3 years’ managerial experience in supply/demand planning in a FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with cross-functional management teams to ensure the delivery of an integrated supply chain benefit and strategic target achievement.
Anticipate supply risks and put contingencies in place to address them.
Drive a culture of “planning for profit” by ensuring an understanding of how planning influences optimal deployment through the network.
Deliver optimal customer service while maximising profitability and minimising supply chain costs. Inventory optimisation must be matched with transport cost minimisation.
Identify and drive the implementation of all process, system and structure changes required to ensure that planning is implemented successfully.

Position: Business Intelligence Manager

Location: Centurion

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBIP, PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in the food manufacturing industry or a similar sector.
  • Strong proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, SAP analytics cloud) and data warehousing solutions.
  • Expertise in managing movement of data from source systems into data lakes for analytical reporting platforms. (e.g. SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes. etc)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement the BI strategy to support the company’s business objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business improvements and innovation.
  • Data Management:
    • Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Manage data integration processes and ensure data quality across various sources.

Position: Senior Vaccinator

Location: Hopefield

Qualification:
  • Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification in Animal Health/Agriculture Animal Production is an advantage
  • Driving license – compulsory
Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of auto vaccinator and related equipment prior to vaccination to ensure timeous start-up.
  • Preparation of scales, working area prior to grading/vaccination to ensure timeous commencement
  • Bird transfer, co –ordinate and monitor staff, liaises with the parent stock breeding farm manager to ensure that there is no time delays in the process.
  • Monitoring bird welfare during the grading/vaccination process to conform to KFC standards of welfare.
  • Maintaining biosecurity procedures by staff member while on site.

Position: Assistant Farmer

requirements:
  • Minimum Grade 12; Tertiary qualification will be an advantage
  • Physically fit with no allergies to bird feathers and dust 
  • Valid code EB drivers’ license

3 years’ experience in the Poultry environment with 1 year experience/exposure in a supervisory capacity

Key Responsibilities:
  • House Preparation prior to placement in order to create ideal conditions for bird production.
  • Chick Placement – co –ordinate and monitor staff, liaises with the hatchery, chick placing foremen,
  • Post placement of chicks (Brooding conditions) – Evaluation of chick quality, recording of vent temperatures, temperature setting,
  • Growing conditions – Daily monitoring of the bird performance which entails feed intake, water recordings, temp and humidity recordings, mortality recordings
  • Ventilation management – Adjust ventilation static pressure to achieve minimum and maximum bird requirement.
