Position: Agricultural Development Specialist

Skills and Qualifications:

• Relevant Post graduate qualification in Development, Agriculture and Management.
• At least 5 years of experience within Agricultural environment.
• Knowledge of practical and business side of farming.
• Knowledge of the agricultural policy, trade issues and sustainability.
• Understanding of the agricultural supply chain, commodity markets and farm management practices.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establishment of partnerships between commercial and new era farmers.
• Business model development, planning and financing.
• Administration of project management, proposals, presentations, business planning and contracting.
• External relations and stakeholder management.
• Training of participating commercial and developing farmers.
• This position may involve fieldwork and travel to agricultural sites, as well as office-based research and analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports summarising research findings, analysis and recommendations for stakeholders.

Position: INTERNAL TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
• Diploma in Office Administration/ Business Administration.
• 3 Years’ experience in similar role.
• Some Food Safety Management Systems experience will be an advantage.
• Some experience within the Poultry Abattoir environment will be an advantage.
• Must be fully computer literate with experience in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PPT) on Advanced level, as well as collaboration tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
• Good typing/ keyboard skills and proficiency in using MS Package.
• Will be required to work overtime where necessary, including on weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring training and resource requests and work with Internal Trainers to allocate and prioritize them.
• Liaising with delegates for internal and external courses to ensure they attend and/or where necessary re-schedule/ move training dates.
• Typing, amending, photocopying, laminating and binding training materials needed for courses.
• Index and file videos, books and third part training materials building a training library of resources.
• Liaise with third party training providers to book courses.
• Collate and report statistics on training activity i.e., training requested, training delivered and scheduled training.

Position: Creditors Assistant

Location: Reitz

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent.
• National Diploma and/ or Advanced Certificate preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years proven experience on Creditors.
• Financial Skills (Processing of invoices, Payments & Reconciliation of Accounts, working knowledge of Reconciliations).
• Financial management systems knowledge (Sage, Accpac 300, Navision).
• Must be computer literate – Microsoft Package.
• A willingness to work overtime where requested.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and verify invoices and all relevant documentation to process payments for creditors.
• Follow up on all missing documentation.
• Complete company specific creditors reports.
• Ensure that payments have been authorized according to the required financial procedures.
• Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions according to the relevant accounting system for payment authorization.
• Monitor accounts to ensure that payments are up to date.
• Forward transfer proofs, cheques and receipts to suppliers.

Position: General Workers, Maintenance (X2)

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent.
• Able to work in warm abattoir areas with pungent smell (feathers, blood).
• The applicant should be in good physical condition as the position involves physical work and standing for extended periods.
• A willingness to work overtime, incl. shifts, on weekends and holidays when required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning the DAF unit, feather press, sump pit and feather area.
• Ensuring that the equipment is washed, and damaged or broken machines and equipment are reported to the shift controllers.
• Assist in inspecting broken shackles & yokes of the airline chiller during start-ups.
• Ensuring that the machines are working the entire production time and reporting all failures in time as and when they occur.
• Assisting in replacing the plucker fingers during weekend maintenance work.

Position: Injector Operator

Location: Reitz

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent.
• N2 Mechanical engineering.
• 1 to 2 years’ proven experience as a machine operator within the FMCG environment.
• Working knowledge of diverse high- speed machinery. 
• A willingness to work overtime, shifts and weekends when required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up injector machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start production cycle.
• Control and adjust injector machines settings (e.g. speed).
• Feed raw material (brine) into injector machines.
• Visual inspection of parts.
• Test operation of machines daily.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Perform other duties as may be required by line management.
