Position: General Assistant (Urban Beautification)

Minimum Requirements:
  • Grade 9
  • Ability to understand functions and duties
Core Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintenance and safekeeping of equipment
Loading of branches, garden refuse and ruble
Execute instruction regarding herbicide and pesticide
Cleaning/ weeding of flowerbeds
Planting of trees and pruning of shrubs
Digging and filling of graves for new, reserved, exhumations and second/ third Internments that may include the utilisation of jack hammer
Any other work-related tasks given by the supervisor

Position: Plant Operator (Arboriculture)

Closing date: 3 December 2024

Minimum Requirements:
  • Grade 10
  • Ability to operate specialised plant equipment safely and in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar environment
Core Responsibilities:
  • Execute all tasks given by the supervisor
  • Ensure plant and equipment is cleaned after use and stored in designated area
  • Perform various maintenance duties and task with a range of specialized equipment
  • Weeding, shaping and/or establishing flower beds
  • Litter picking and duties related to cleaning of dustbins
  • Sweeping roads, road edges, paved areas, offices etc
  • Excavating and back filling of trenches, holes etc
  • Manual pruning of plants
  • Ensure all activities are performed safely and in accordance to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Report any risks to Supervisor
  • Adhere to Batho Pele principles

Position: Accountant- Cash Management & Bank Reconciliation

Closing date: 2 December 2024

Minimum Requirements:
  • Accounting Diploma or relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform Bank Recons full functions
  • Create bank reconciliation report on financial system
  • Analyse statements, allocate bank charges, interest and transfers to relevant ledger votes
  • Compare (link) deposits on bank statement with total daily receipts issues
  • Update debtor’s direct payments on debtor account (where applicable)
  • Report bank errors and follow up until resolved with bank officials
  • Balance general ledger suspense votes
  • Adhere to accounting best practice required by treasury and other financial institutions
  • Compile summary report and report to supervisor
  • Adhere to policies and procedure

Position: Admin Officer- Key Accounts

Closing date: 27 November 2024

Minimum Requirements:
  • National Diploma in Finance or relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
Core Responsibilities:
  • Establish good relations and ensure revenue is collected from business (clients with accounts in various CCC’s), all spheres of Government and Parastatals (SANRAL, Transnet, PRASA, Telkom and Post Office)
  • Perform operational processes to achieve division and sectional goals and objectives
  • Apply governance and risk management to minimise risk and ensure compliance to related legislation
  • Perform financial processes to comply with the MFMA and related financial legislation
  • Render customer service orientation to provide effective service to all relevant stakeholders

Position: Clerk- Billing Metered Services

Closing date: 27 November 2024

Minimum Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or relevant equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
  • 1 year experience in a similar environment
Core Responsibilities:
  • Support the division by executing financial and clerical tasks to ensure correct and timeous billing
  • Monitor water and electricity consumption as per deviation list to ensure that account is correctly billed and to prevent over billing or under billing
  • Calculate and process journals to correct incorrect billing on account to ensure that account will be correctly billed and adjustments done to get consumption in line with meter readings
  • Assist with investigation of complex meter and consumption problems of clients to ensure that account are correctly billed and to close the compliance of the client
  • Handle customer complaints to ensure account is correct and client’s compliant can be closed
  • Capture customer requests or maintenance matters on EMIS to ensure maintenance on meters will be performed and client’s complaint can be closed and account corrected
  • Capture interim maintenance on Venus system to ensure correct billing and not unrealistic charges to client’s accounts
