Position: Technician-in-Training

Location: Randburg

Minimum requirements:

·       National Diploma

·       Completed apprenticeship/work integrated learning

·       Driver’s Licence (Code EB) within 6 months of appointment (condition of appointment)

·       Experience in the PB Board testing and setup, troubleshooting

·       Assembly and onsite commissioning of online analysis equipment (experience with the Mintek Cynoprobe, C2 Meter will be highly advantageous. Similar product experience will be considered)

·       Onsite servicing of online analysis equipment (experience with the Mintek Cynoprobe, C2 Meter will be highly advantageous. Similar product experience will be considered)

Job description:

·       Follow established procedures to install, commission and maintain Mintek equipment

·       Examine electrical problems, identify source of problems and determine method for repair by electrical circuit diagrams

·       Ensure that Mintek’s safety standards and procedures are sustained with regard to the scope of work and to uphold prescribed safety standard procedures in their workspace.

·       Recommend improved work practices and amendments to procedures affecting workmanship and safety matters.

·       Assist the supervisor with performing Safety inspections.

·       Comply with client SHEQ procedures.

Position: Artisan – Plant Building and Maintenance

Location: Randburg

Closing date: 11 November 2024

Minimum requirements:
  • Trade Certifcate
  • Atleast 5 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of relevant minerals processing related unit operations such as flotation, milling, crushing, physical separation and sample preparation.
  • At least 5 years on the job training.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Maintain a sign-in and sign-out for MPD equipment.
  • Assist with Works Orders and do follow ups.
  • Compile reports on the status of inspected equipment and submit the report with recommendations to the Head of the group.
  • Ensure registration of assets in equipment register and monitor assets movements.
  • Help to record and track the movement of assets.
  • Look after the MPD assets (Asset numbers & Bar codes) and help identify broken or non-repairable.
  • Identify resources required to execute required maintenance.
  • Plan execution of recommended maintenance activities.
  • Execute planned maintenance as per plan.
  • Report back to ead on completed work

Position: Engineer- Flotation

Location: Randburg

Closing date:  6 December 2024

Minimum requirements:
  • Minimum: B. Sc. Hons or 4-year Engineering degree.
  • Ideal: MSc, MEng (NB: other lower degrees, must attain the minimum requirement to stay in this position)
  • 1- 2 years vocational experience following first graduation (BSc Hon/BEng).
  •  Must have 2 – 3 years Comminution and Flotation or Physical Separation experience
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Perform complex scientific and engineering research under supervision.
  • Design, operate and oversee discipline specific experimental work and ensure that procedures are complied with,
    and quality control and continual improvement are applied.
  • Collect and interpret data at a quantitative and qualitative level using discipline specific standard methodologies
    and procedures. Including the preparation of analytical and descriptive narratives. Ensure that the interpretation
    is based on sound scientific / engineering theory.
  • Plan and manage projects to ensure efficient use of time, equipment and facilities, including coordinating with
    others.

Position: SBU Accountant (Management Accountant)

Location: Randburg

Closing date: 20 November 2024

Minimum requirements:
  • BCom Honours Degree or equivalent qualification
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in management and cost accounting environment
  • Computer literacy (MS Windows, Word, Excel). IFS will be an advantage.
  • Project Management experience is essential 
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
  • Through analysis, ensure that all revenue and expenditure is processed to the correct GL accounts . Where incorrect postings are identified, investigate and correct through journalisation.
  • Establish root cause of incorrect postings and take corrective action to avoid in future incidents.
  • Perform monthly period-end procedures, and related analytical functions when required.
  • Investigate budget variances and report to Mintek management.
  • Compile monthly management packs for SBU’s inclusive of management accounting and project information as required.
