The tasks include:
• Advice on study and research opportunities in Germany as well as on the scholarship programs of the DAAD

Position: Marketing and Events Officer
Location: Braamfontein

Minimum requirements:
- Marketing & Business Degree NQF
- 5 years working experience in the following areas:
- Traditional Marketing experience
- Digital Marketing experience.
- Multi stakeholder engagement.
- Events Production/Project Management.
Activities and Responsibilities:
- Work in a constructive, collaborative manner with the objective of forming partnerships both across & within business units and within the broader university to optimize and drive marketing initiatives.
- Integrate sales, marketing & new business development.
- Identify gaps in current marketing processes & provide recommendations to drive and implement change.
- Manages timely & relevant updates on the website & additional digital platforms for all business units.
- Ensures a cohesive brand approach across identified digital channels & platforms.
Position: Twende Mbele Program Manager
Salary range will be R860 000 – R940 000, dependent on skills and experience

Competencies:
- Eight years of experience; Specific experience in program management, performance monitoring and evaluation systems, ability to manage complex reporting requirements and budgeting systems as well as manage international workshops.
- Master’s degree in Political Science/Public Administration/Development Economics/International Relations/Development Studies/Programme Evaluation.
- Demonstrated track-record of successful project management, ideally in a donor environment with strong logistical planning capabilities and financial management skills
- Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems development.
- Be passionate about development (i.e. driving positive social and economic change through effective M&E systems).
- Have experience of programme communication for learning and sharing.
- Embodying Developmental ideology and systems approach to the M&E functions
Key Tasks And Duties:
- Undertake programme management for Twende Mbele Programme, including organising management committee and other meetings, planning, and supporting activities of the programme.
- Maintain M&E systems for Twende programme management which promote knowledge sharing and lesson learning as well as donor reporting requirements.
- Plan and manage communication activities including overseeing the work of the Learning and Communications Coordinators, and managing learning systems.
- Follow administrative processes and procedures of the University (i.e. Wits Commercial Enterprise), and donors for the Twende Mbele Programme.
- Continuously implement and refresh the Resource Mobilisation Strategy
- Complying with requirements such as corporate governance, health and safety, data protection and equalities.
Position: Social Justice and Diversity Manager

REQUIREMENTS:
· Master’s Degree (preferably in Social Sciences or related discipline)
· 5 years relevant experience at a managerial level, preferably in Higher education
Duties:
· Identify and eradicate all forms of discrimination on campus.
· Develop implement and coordinate awareness and advocacy campaigns programmes and interventions.
· Facilitate ethical leadership and management practices.
· Conduct research on policy changes in the area of social justice.
· Contribute to the development and analysis of reporting templates to be shared with the relevant University structures, such as the University Forum
· Case management process flow and the policies governing those environments.
Position: Head – Internationalisation and Strategic Partnerships Office

Required Academic Qualification/s, competences, and experience:
• PhD Degree or equivalent.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience in University partnership development, implementation, and management and a thorough knowledge of diplomacy.
• A confident and fluent capacity to interact at the executive levels of organisations.
• Knowledge of the higher education sector in South Africa and around the world.
• Familiarity with the international funding landscape including international mobility schemes.
• Current knowledge of issues relating to internationalisation, higher education development, organisation, policy and management both within South Africa and internationally.
• Strong interpretive ability to match institutional needs with external opportunities.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
• Proven experience in overseeing and managing a busy team and the related administrative functions.
• The capacity to monitor and assess the benefits from various initiatives including seed-funding.
• Strong financial planning and management acumen.
• Familiarity with the main international University ranking systems and their functioning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide a secretariat function for ARUA.
• Integrate activities within the University related to partnerships through working closely with other Divisions, e.g. the Advancement Division, Wits’ representatives in other countries, and the International Students Office.
• Provide regular reports to relevant University committees on current and planned future local and international partnerships.
• Service a cross-portfolio internationalisation committee (a sub-committee of the University Research and Innovation Committee) whose function will be to formulate, monitor and review Wits’ strategy on local and international partnerships,
as well as related policies and protocols.
• Chair the University’s Rankings Committee whose function is to advise strategically on appropriate rankings to prioritise, to ensure that accurate and appropriate data are sourced and supplied and to engage with the agencies on outcomes,
especially where they may be unfavourable.
• Management of the ISPO budget that includes seed-funding programmes with strategic partners.
• Contribute to funding proposals including assistance with budgeting.
• Lead and manage a team of practitioners, including assessments of staff performance.
