Position: Senior Manager –  ICT Procurement

Location: Gauteng

requirements:
Formal Education – MBA with specialisation in project management
Experience – The incumbent requires a minimum of at least 10 years’ experience in strategic ICT project management processes.
The incumbent should also have a minimum of 5 years managerial experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization within programme and project management activities, streamline workflows, and eliminate inefficiencies to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency
  • Undertakes and/or directs reviews as necessary to ensure management decision-making is transparent, and that an appropriate balance between benefits, opportunities, costs and risks can be demonstrated to principal stakeholders.
  • Establishes and maintains the policies for compliance with the organisation’s obligations (including legislation, regulatory, contractual and agreed standards/policies), holding the management team to account.
  • Acts as the organisation’s contact for relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Ensures proper relationships between the organisation and external parties, with valid interest in the organisation’s governance, are in place.
  • Ensure optimal stakeholder engagements and working relations with PPIC

Position: Assistant Manager IT Audit

Location: Gauteng

Closing date: 30 August 2024

Formal Education:
  • B Degree in Auditing or Computer Science or Informatics

OR

  • National Diploma in Auditing or IT

The following will be an added advantage:

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • ERP Certificate (Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, oe JD Edwards)
Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years IS auditing experience
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
  • Experience on one or more ERP environments, such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft
  • Experience in Cyber Security environment would be beneficial
  • Experience in CAATs/Data Analytics environment would be beneficial
responsibilities:
  • Communicate to Manager and Senior Manager on progress or obstacles during the audit
  • Submit the audit report for publishing and archiving
  • Finalise the audit file and submit for archiving in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Provide support in the review of contract work and quality assurance
  • Provide inputs to Information Systems Audit strategic plans
  • Provide guidance on AGSA audit approach
  • Promote and manage sound internal controls within the Business Unit
  • Keep abreast of the latest development at the AGSA
  • Manage audits within the allocated time frame
  • Manage audits in adherence to internal processes, policies and procedures

Position: Deputy Business Unit Leader- Resource Management

Location: Gauteng

requirements:
Formal Education
This position requires a minimum qualification of CA (SA).
Experience
Minimum 10 years relevant post qualification experience with at least 4 years’ experience operating at a senior manager level
At least 5 years’ experience in the Financial/ Auditing environment
Experience and exposure to external audits, finance and project management processes
responsibilities:
  • Drive the delivery of audits at targeted quality levels through optimal efficiency and productivity of resource utilisation on audits.
  • Implement and monitor the established principles to be followed by the AGSA and contract work creditors (CWC) regarding the outsourced audit services.
  • Align the procurement of outsourced CWC services with the already existing policy principles of supply chain management.
  • Lead a transparent CWC firm quality management process that is aimed at proactive identification of quality control related issues during the audit for immediate resolution by the audit firm.
  • Perform an evaluation process where quality management inefficiencies have been identified in order to hold the CWC firms accountable.
  • Monitor the implementation and adherence of the ISQM standards by the audit firms.

requirements:
  • This position requires a minimum qualification of CA (SA)
  • Registered with SAICA as an assessor/able to register within 3 months of appointment
  • Registered with IRBA as Registered Auditor/able to register within 3 months of appointment
  • Minimum 6 years post qualification experience with at least 4 years’ experience operating at a manager level
  • Added advantage: Incumbent currently occupying Technical Manager / Audit SM role.
  • Technical understanding of audit environment, needs and standards practices to interpret information
    and address theoretical and practical problems in the BU.
  • IFRS audit exposure will be an added advantage.
responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic inputs into the AGSA products and annual scoping decisions for Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Provide technical inputs  to the technical audit department on all areas of public sector auditing and reporting as and when required. 
  • Participate in the technical development projects and contribute to technical discussions during various forums such as the Product champion and State Owned Entities (SOE) forums.
  • Obtain and coordinate inputs from ABUs on technical documents to inform inputs to the relevant internal BUs and at technical forums.

Position: Audit Senior (X6)

Location: Mpumalanga

  • 3 years completed Articles
  • Minimum qualification CTA (and should studying towards your CA(SA) .
responsibilities:
  • Review the planning documentation in accordance with auditing standards and consider matters that should be carried forward.
  • Understand all aspects of the auditee’s business (including relevant risks affecting the business) and understand the link between different components of the audit.
  • Keep abreast of any news or developments relating to the auditee or the industry in which it operates.
  • Review and issue request for information (RFI’s) to the auditee and update the RFI register with information received and follow-up on outstanding information.
