Position: In-service Trainee (Mechanical)

LOCATION: Lordsview Factory

Matric with Maths & Physical Science
Working towards Relevant Diploma in Chemical, Industrial, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering S4 (Completing or in final year)
Requiring 1-year in-service training

Candidates need to provide their Matric Certificate and Academic Transcript with their CV’s
Basic computer literacy, i.e.: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Position: Mechanical Technician

Location: Lords View Factory, Johannesburg

Closing Date: 23 August 2024

National Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering or N6 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Trade Test (or equivalent)
5 years Technical Experience in a maintenance environment
Relevant experience in manufacturing machinery
Experience in turning or operation of lathe and milling machine
Working knowledge of different types and applications of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, conveyors, fluid mechanics, different types of materials, welds, operation of the lathe and fans.
Able to read and understand engineering drawings.

Fault finding and problem solving on all manufacturing machinery
Able to identify deviations and non-conforming items on equipment
Able to assess exactly what steps to take to rectify these deviations and non-conformances
Make recommendations for continuous improvements
Raise both Safety and Engineering Tags
Participate in the continuous revision and updating of standards
Raise One Point Lessons and cascade these to others
Raise Kaizens that will improve efficiency
Update UMS boards as required
