Position: Phlebotomy Technician/Staff Nurse/Professional Nurse

Location: Gariep, Kimberley

Key Competency Requirements:

Nursing diploma or Phlebotomy Technician qualification and registered with SANC/HPCSA
Computer literate with Meditech knowledge advantageous
Must have a valid unrestricted Code B driver’s license
Phlebotomy experience is essential
Pathology experience is highly advantageous which includes order of draw and running of Point of Care instruments i.e. Hemocue, Stratus & running of arterial blood gas on the machine.

Position: Medical Technician/Technologist/Laboratory Scientist

Key Competency Requirements:

National diploma/degree qualification or Medical Technician Certificate in Clinical Pathology
Current registration with the HPCSA in Clinical Pathology
Computer literate with Meditech knowledge is advantageous
Must have at least 1 year of Clinical experience post HPCSA registration
Must have experience with basic trouble shooting on instruments
Relevant specimen reception experience which includes receiving, processing, distributing specimens and processing after-requests

Position: Senior Laboratory Analyst

Location: Bemlab, Strand, Cape Town

Key Competency Requirements:

BTech/BSc Analytical Chemistry/BSc Biochemistry/BSc Microbiology or any other related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an environmental Chemistry/Microbiology environment
Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience with laboratory accreditation processes (ISO17025)
Intermediate computer literacy (Microsoft Office; MS Word, Excel)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage laboratory staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures.
Oversee daily laboratory activities to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
Develop and maintain quality assurance programmes to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
Conduct weekly and/or monthly quality control reviews and investigate outliers
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and requirements of ISO17025.

Key Competency Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)
Tertiary qualification in Warehousing/Supply chain Management will be advantageous.
Basic Excel knowledge regarding capturing of spreadsheets & utilizing of formulas.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Warehousing experience essential (2+years)
Stock handling/stock management experience will be advantageous.
Experience in a Medical Warehouse will be advantageous.
