Position: CLINICAL TRIALS COORDINATOR

  • 4 years’ experience as a study coordinator in a clinical drug or vaccine trials environment
  • Experience as primary Study Coordinator in a minimum of 3 separate drug/vaccine trials
    including at least one trial initiation and one trial close-out
  • 4 years’ experience in managing staff in a clinical study team in a clinical drug trials
    environment
responsibilities:
  • Responsible for documenting operational and quality issues
    that arise and feed back to appropriate line managers.
  • In coordination with the CRS management team, implement,
    maintain, and evaluate the clinical quality assurance process,
    specifically relating to protocol adherence and data quality.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, study
    documentation and presentations to sponsors, UCTCTU
    Steering Committee, Ethics, Regulatory and other
    stakeholders.
  • Give support to Study Coordinators to optimally conduct the
    study protocol in line with sponsor and regulatory
    requirements.
  • Assist Study Coordinators to ensure that specific
    administrative, operational, and clinical policies are adhered to
    for their staff including evaluation and retraining where
    indicated.
  • Oversee external evaluation monitoring (Clinical Trial
    Monitors) and manage the resolution of all queries.

Position: PROJECT ASSISTANT- COURIER AND INVIGILATION

Requirements:

Minimum of an NQF 5 level post matric diploma in administration, logistics or a relevant discipline.

  • At least 2 years’ experience in general office administration.

  • Script processing: Scan answer sheets, edit scanned data and enter bio form information.
  • Helpdesk duties and maintaining high professional standards including responding to NBT email and support
    required for online sessions.
  • Assist with all logistics coordination as and when required.
  • Assist with the monitoring, collation and documentation of feedback on project status.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.

  • Ensure that budgets are submitted in line with funder requirements and within the
    required deadlines
  • Develop Strategic and operational budget for DTHF (in collaboration with Exco and
    RMO)
  • Develop Site strategic and operational budget in collaboration with GFO and CRS Leads
  • Attend the Faculty Meetings to provide PIs with updates on pipeline
  • Review award letters against application submitted and raise any variances with the PI
    or CEO to confirm that the project can be accepted and the study can be carried out
    within the revised budgets
  • Ensure contract tracking system is updated
  • Day-to-Day management of Pre-Award Specialist
  • Any other tasks and duties that may be appropriate to this position
