Position: Learning and Development Consultant

Location: Pretoria

requirements:

•    an Honours degree in Banking, Economics, Education or Finance, or an equivalent (NQF 8) qualification; 
•    five to eight years of learning and development consulting, instructional design and/or facilitation    experience in academia or corporate learning; and
•    three to five years of experience in an economics environment or the financial sector.

key performance areas:
  • Identify and interpret client skills needs. 
  • Design and develop relevant and fit-for-purpose learning interventions to address identified needs.
  • Conduct research and design curricula on topics related to economic research, financial markets as well as other central banking emerging skills needs.
  • Enhance the learning experience through the use of relevant digital learning tools, systems and platforms, in line with evolving ways of work. 
  • Engage academics, experts and other learning providers to build strategic partnerships in delivering the best learning solutions for the client departments.
  • Evaluate the quality and impact of programmes.

Position: Security Control Officer

Location: Durban

requirements:
  • a Diploma in Security Management or an equivalent NQF6 qualification;
  • five years’ experience in a national key point facility protection environment;
  • two years’ experience in facility operational security supervision, including security systems, procedures and personnel;
  • sound knowledge and understanding of a national key point security environment, emergency and incident management, control room operations and key control, and relevant legislation;
  • a level of medical, physical and psychological fitness that is commensurate with the inherent requirements of the position; and
  • a Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade B certificate.
key performance areas:
  • Conduct workplace assessments.
  • Manage the assignment of firearms for the shift.
  • Ensure that operational security staff members comply with and are fit for deployment.
  • Manage the performance and development of team members.
  • Provide administrative support to the management structure of the Security Operations Division at the Durban Cash Centre.

Position: Associate Policy Analyst

Location: Pretoria

requirements:
  • a postgraduate qualification in Law, Finance, Economics or an equivalent qualification; and
  • a minimum of two to five years’ experience in conducting policy-related research, drafting regulatory instruments or formulating policy and analytical skills in a relevant field.
key performance areas:
  • Participate in industry engagement sessions as well as engagements with other financial sector regulators and internal stakeholders in the development of regulatory frameworks for the Prudential Authority (PA).
  • Assist in the development of regulatory frameworks for the PA by working closely with senior executives in the PA’s Policy Division.
  • Assist in engagements with regulated financial institutions, where required. 
  • Provide secretariat support for the governance structures within the PA. 
  • Provide input into the areas of policy development for the PA, which will specifically include, but not be limited to, work on the insurance regulatory framework.

Position: Business Analyst

requirements:
  • an Honours degree in Information Technology (IT) or an equivalent qualification;
  • a relevant Business Analysis certification; and
  • five to eight years’ experience within a business analysis environment. 
key performance areas:
  • Review business processes and procedures, analyse business needs and associated data, identify and assess possible solutions and define the associated requirements.
  • Elaborate on the scope and feasibility of solutions and develop the supporting business case.
  • Manage change requirements and supporting specifications. 
  • Investigate problems and propose solutions by interacting with users, developers and other stakeholders.
  • Develop manuals and plans and present training courses in support of implementation.
  • Stay abreast of changes to analytical tools and methodologies, identify opportunities to improve and standardise work processes and apply these in the course of own work. 

Position: Accounts Clerk – Planning

Location: Pretoria

requirements:
  • the minimum of a Bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma in Accounting (NQF 7) or an equivalent qualification; and
  • the minimum of two years of experience in a financial services environment.
key performance areas:
  • Assist with financial modelling and insights to help streamline the current budgeting process. 
  • Perform general accounting duties and reconciliation in accordance with accounting and SARB polices, relevant accounting and banking standards, and Acts.
  • Prepare and provide information related to transactions with a defined context to relevant stakeholders. 
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders/clients within the SARB, displaying service orientation in own work and the ability to handle basic queries and explain information fluently.
  • Proactively broaden knowledge of own functional area, displaying a willingness to make improvements in own work (including work methods and practices).
  • Evaluate own performance against given criteria, and identify and address task-specific learning needs.
