Position: HTS Coordinator

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:
  • Qualification in Health/ Social Sciences
  • At least 5 years’ experience in project or operations management
  • At least 5 years’ experience in HIV or public health environment
  • Able to demonstrate ability to update and maintain a data repository
  • NIMART Certificate advantageous
  • Computer Literate – MS Office Packages (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Communication skills and ability to speak one of the local languages
  • Valid driver’s license essential
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of HTS/CLI quality improvement activities at facility and community level as required and ensure compliance with DoH policies
  • Identify training needs at facility and community level and make logistical arrangements for such trainings
  • Coordinate all data collection and management processes provided by your teams.
  • Engage in data quality assurance and internal control activities
  • Update project assets registers and inventories
  • Laisse regularly with Anova M&E department to ensure accurate project reports
  • Identify critical programme stakeholders and establish working relationships with them
  • Manage and maintain functional relations with all internal and external stakeholders including DoH and other partners
  • Ensure that project staff participate actively in decision making

Position: Counsellor X 2

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Closing Date :15 May 2024

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required :
  • Matric qualification 
  • Training and certification in Basic HIV and Aids, STI and TB (HAST), HIV Counselling, Adherence counselling, and finger pricking.
  • ROTF support counselling
  • Adherence clubs
  • Certificate in Couple counselling, RTCQI, disclosure and paediatric consent is advantageous.
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a counsellor
  • Minimum two-year experience in HIV or public health environment
  • Knowledge of DoH HTS guidelines and protocols
  • General knowledge of health education
  • General knowledge of TB/HIV/PMTCT programme guidelines/counselling messages
  • Counselling skills
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Link HIV positive clients to facility for ARV initiation or mobile van
  • Trace all positive tested clients who were not initiated same day.
  • Be available to assist all HIV patients in the facility and community with relevant counselling needs.
  • Ensure that all clients tested HIV positive are linked into care and keep a record of how many are initiated on Antiretroviral treatment.
  • Report challenges related to the referral system and linkage to care to Community Coordinator.
  • Keep an updated record of number of clients who were offered HTS, tested, tested HIV positive, and linked into care, in line with tools used by DoH and Anova (should there be additional data capturing tools) and record it daily in the facility register.
  • Identify critical programme stakeholders and establish working relationships with them.
  • Provide feedback to the Community Coordinator on facility and community on social dynamics that impact on project activities.

Position: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer X 2

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:
  • A minimum of a 3-year Diploma/Bachelor’ degree in development related subjects (preferable)
  • Or A minimum 3 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of development programs
  • A valid Driver’s License is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of programme and Project Cycle Management and Development.
  • Communication and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power point: SPSS Ms Access, STATA, Excel, or other statistical software package desired

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Conduct visits to sites to provide supervision, operational assistance, training and support, as well as to ensure that M&E tools are understood and being implemented effectively.
  • Manage the flow of regular reports into the CBS programs for internal & external use.
  • Encourage the collection and use of information at multiple points in the program’s implementation to track progress toward predetermined goals narratives about the quality of the data they contain.
  • Maintenance of standard health data information systems across all supported sites
  • Document standard operating procedures outlining processes for completing work.
  • Provide on-going M&E technical assistance to CBS & DOH, Community partners.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly data quality reviews (DQAs) of reported.

Position: Professional Nurse

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:
  • A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse.
  • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
  • NIMART (Nurse Initiated Management of ART) qualification (essential).
  • NIMDR Nurse initiated management of drug-resistant TB (essential).
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree will be an added advantage.
  • Post graduate diploma in Nursing (Primary Health Care Nurse) will be an added advantage.
  • Must have a dispensing license.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Public Health sector.
  • 3 years’ management experience.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse in NGO/Community clinic or a hospital environment.
  • Familiar with latest HIV Management, TB and PMTCT guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good report writing skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with OST doctor and Clinical Nurse Mentor to provide OST/ hepatitis. treatment and care mentorship to other clinicians.
  • Provide OST/ STI and Hepatitis treatment to PWUDs at CoJ and surrounding areas.
  • Manage treatment outcomes amongst PWUDs.
  • Provide support to CoJ OST sites.

Position: Data Capturer

Location: Polokwane, Limpopo

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:
  • Grade 12.
  • Tertiary qualification and previous experience in primary health care in RSA will be an added advantage.
  • 2 years’ experience in data capturing and administration.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Fast and accurate data capturing skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Able to maintain confidential information.
  • Flexible and willing to work weekends when required.
  • Good facilitation and communication skills
  • Able to communicate in English and other local/region official language.

responsibilities:
  • Capture data (on a daily basis) of information acquired from all registers.
  • Ensure that the information provided is credible and that there are no duplications.
  • Ensure confidentially of patient files and information.
  • Capture data completely, accurately and as prescribed.
  • Provide updates and training on data capturing systems.  
  • Accurately enter M&E data in the provided systems such Tier.net or any systems provided either by Anova or stakeholder.
  • Participate in on-going data management training.
  • Maintain confidentiality of data handled.
