Movies to watch on Netflix

1. Leave the world behind:

Honestly, they don’t make movies like this anymore. This is one of the best movies I have watched in a very long time. A family, goes on a vacation, rents a house and the events that take place afterwards are full of a lot of uncertainty. It’s an eye opener and the kind of movie that makes you wonder about a lot of things in life. It got me thinking, how much in control are we of our lives, as individuals, as families and communities? How dependent are we on the social, political and economic system? What are your basic daily needs and wants and if the 21st century were to come to a stop, would you still have your daily needs and wants?

2. Run:

Sometimes the people you love and trust, are the ones who end up hurting you the most. A teenager finds out that the one person who is supposed to love and protecther, is the cause and reason for all her pain and setbacks in life.

3. Luckiest girl alive:

The first time I saw the title of the movie, I immediately thought love and romance. However, it actually has nothing to do with that. The movie is about a woman who struggles to heal from the tragic events she experienced during her years in high school. Issues raised in the movie include school gun violence and sexual assault.

4. A man called OTTO:

After losing a loved one, a man struggles to navigate life. It takes new neighbours to turn his view on life completely around.
